Design that makes a difference

Rocky Mountain Remodel – Finale

There’s so much to love about Colorado.  The deep blue skies, the majestic mountains, the happy residents, the abundance of outdoor activities, the warmth of the sun!  Now in Colorado there’s one more thing to love – an impressive before and after!  If you recall a while back I posted some before pictures of a kitchen in need of a little help.  There was no room for expansion, but the cabinets were falling apart, the flooring was hard on the owners back and the layout was anything but efficient.  After some much needed TLC this kitchen is now a streamlined, efficient, highly functioning space with more storage than the homeowners know what to do with!  Check it out:

We replaced the tile floor with wood to match the rest of the main level.  This will be softer on the home-owners back when long days of holiday cooking come up.  Changing the lights from hanging fixtures to recessed offers more light for working.  We also added appliance garages on either side of the sink.  This ensures that the home-owners can have quick and easy access to the things they use the most, but don’t have to deal with clutter on the countertops.  And see the legs beside the sink?  They pull out for secret storage!

Before the breakfast nook had no storage and an inefficient eating area.  An eating area was a must so after adding double wall ovens we added a bench with storage for sitting.  Pretty soon a beautiful table with a matching granite top will live there along with cushins on the bench!  Also, see the fridge?  We used a counter depth fridge to open up the space since the working space is narrow.

There are many more fun features we packed in, but that would make for a very long blog!  A great big thanks goes out to Reed at AIM Construction for doing an amazing job on everything!  If you’re in the Denver area and need a great contractor – he’s the guy to call!!
